Kennesaw State University Faculty and Staff Evaluation of Administrators

Implementing a survey when participant anonymity and confidentiality is paramount.

Kennesaw State University needed to create an administrator evaluation system to aid in their administrator review process for department chairs, deans, and the university provost.

The Challenge

KSU required a third party to lead this objective evaluation project, gather the data in a way that would ensure participant anonymity and confidentiality and that could be distributed through password-protected reporting key authorized individuals.

We provided data reports securely while maintaining participant confidentiality and oversaw the release of reports to authorized individuals.

The Solution

We created online surveys for up to 30 administrators on a rotating annual basis and administered these using a secure email collector. We served as the official contact for the project, providing direct technical assistance as needed to university faculty and staff. We provided data reports securely while maintaining participant confidentiality and oversaw the release of reports to authorized individuals. We are particularly proud of the 65%+ participation rate for each administrator reviewed.

The Result

The findings of the FSEA allow KSU to review administrators on their leadership, communication, management, and ethics on an annual or biennial basis. These data inform official review processes that will push the university toward continuous improvement. More information can be found here.
